The Vegetable Garden...prints from Cavallini

So  Cavallini make those good looking tinned sets of  postcards. Taschen have reproduced the beautiful 'The Vegetable Garden" 46 beautiful prints....19th century vegetables. Just under a hundred dollars. Sounds like  a great birthday present.  The link to the New York Times piece on it is here:

And the hen....one of Beth's from Trevoole. Who'll be a neighbor at Conker Road,  I'd love to get a hen or two pecking round the place.
Until next time....thoughts of seeds, cuttings, hens and Cornwall occupy the mind...and the heart.
We should know soon... Good news in that someone we know and like may rent our cottage here in Iowa and look after the house, garden etc.
Sally is getting the nursery revived for spring and digging out lots of gardening books...not to mention furniture for when we arrive.
Let's hope it all comes off.
